Rain Rain go away. I never knew that as a new gardener I would HATE I mean
HATE the rain. The rain is keeping me inside!!! I am still not done with the
front. I have roses still to plant. I ran into the old roots
from the palm trees in front. God we have had enough rain. My garden
was a bit damaged by the rain. but it is growing so beautifully! I
am so proud of my garden. Come over and see it. ;)
We went to
a few concerts in February.
Ian has found a new TV show - "Bill Nye The Science Guy". My mom bought him
a VHS off of Ebay and we just got him a few from the Library. Ian is so
Mr. Science. everything he does is science! He is an adorable smart boy.
We are so lucky.
What we did in February 2005...
2/1/05 -
2/5/05
Tuesday -
Preschool.
Wednesday - Park
day with the MOMS Club, we made Butterfly Bites. My dad and Susan (my step-mother) came up and stayed the night. We went
out to dinner at one of our favorite places, "The Renaissance Cafe"
Thursday-
We took Ian to preschool. My dad and I
went to the Home Depot, every time my dad comes up we put him to work.
This time is was the toilet. My poor dad! Too bad for us he does not
live closer!!! Went up to LA for the funeral
of Susan's mother. Ian was a very good boy at the funeral party. He was
very excited that they had plastic cups. :) He is indeed a silly boy.
Friday-
Craft day at the park. he made Valentines for his grandparents. We
have been telling Ian for days that we were going to HAPPY HOUR. Well when
we got to Claim Jumper he was so upset. He thought there was a
place called Happy Hour. Well we had drinks (Cool Root beer in a bottle)
and a ton of appetizers.
Saturday - Gina and I went to TEA for
Gina's Birthday next week. The Tea parlor was so far away in Rancho Santa Margarita. I thought we had drove all of the way to Arizona!! It was so far and the
mountains were right there. Well the tea place was in a strip mall and we were
a little scared to go in. But - It was awesome one of the best tea experiences
ever. Really! The tea shop was amazing. A ton of wonderful things to
buy! and I did! I bought these great TEA cup wall displays. I also found
these tea items that had the same pattern as our wedding invitations. The Tea was also
wonderful, they had amazing quiche pastries. We had a fantastic time.
I look forward to going again.
2/6/05 - 2/12/05
Sunday-
David took Ian and Tristan to Disneyland for the day!!!! We went to the
movies. We saw "Million Dollar Baby" We both really enjoyed it.

Wednesday -We
went to the Santa Ana main Post Office for a tour with the MOMS Club. Only one other mom showed up. It
was really interesting. Michael used to work for the Post Office
over 10 years ago and so I thought I knew a lot about what happened there but I
was wrong almost all of it is now automated. Thank God Mike did not stay
with the Post Office! Ian really enjoyed picking up a million and one
rubber bands off of the floor of the backroom of the Post Office. :)
Thursday-
Ian Preschool. Ian got the
privilege of being the first to take home TEDDY from school. We had him
over the weekend. When Ian had to return him on Tuesday, he was so sad. He cried and
cried it was funny how he really came to love him. Every week when another child
brings him back he feels so sad to see him again. So cute...
Friday-
RAIN. We drove down to San Diego. We left Ian with my mom and went downtown
and had appetizers and wine. We went to the "Bright
Eyes' concert at Spreckles Theater. Mike really loves ''Bright
Eyes' . I was just a date. I think the singer was a voice like a goat
(Sorry Mike!)
Saturday - RAIN - We went to meet
the newest member of the Longfellow family, HENRY. Ian was so excited about holding a
baby, he held him twice.. He played with Emma (4). They had a great time playing with
indoor sand while it was raining outside. After we went to Grandma Judy & Grandma Wayne (Mike's dad) .
The crazy (loving and very giving) grandparents bought Ian this Pirate boat toy. Well poor Grandpa
Wayne had to put it together. Three hours later we drove way! Next time maybe they will buy him a ball! :) We drove up to
Encinitas and has lunch with Alex and Melissa (I went to High School with her)
and their new baby Chloe (born in Nov 2004). Wow two new babies in one
day. Ian was so tired he slept through lunch. He had not done that
since he was in a infant car seat.

because of their sick kids. I had to call a lot of people. Luckily

feeling something wet. At first we thought that someone was spilling a
drink but we soon realized it was RAINING inside of the venue!!! When we
got outside it was pouring I meaning pouring!!! With LIGHTNING AND THUNDER.
and I was the lucky one to get to drive home. It was so so scary!!! It
was like a fireman was putting his hose on the front windows. I could not see!!!
I thought I was going to throw up!!! I was so scared and nervous.
But we made it home safe and sound.
Saturday - RAIN and more RAIN.
Our trashcans were floating
down the street!! Grandma Mary was having a party down in Murreitta.
We drove there very slow and safely. Cousin Madison (born January
2005)
was there and Ian got to hold her. WOW Three babies in one month....
He was so excited. Trent (3 - Mike's cousin Tara's son) &
Mike's Uncle Roy and Aunt Peggy were there from Denver. We had a good time.
