Ian is really starting to mature, and it's amazing how quickly the time
flies. His vocabulary is growing, and we can really see a difference in
his comprehension and pronunciation of words. He is still so obsessed
with his ABC's and counting. Whenever he walks down the stairs, he
counts his steps out loud 1,2,3...... Were up to 20, but haven't gotten
past that yet. It's really fun in the mornings, sometimes he will wake
up and just start saying his ABC's. We're still working on potty
training, I expect it will take some time, so we need to continue to be
patient and encourage him. It was really a month of highs and lows.
Michael's brother Jason and his wife Kari welcomed their first child,
Audrey Isabella, and then we regretfully lost my grandmother. Sorry
this is getting out so late again this month, :( - Less then 50
photos, now that is a sad record for us.
Here is our activity for the month of March 2003
-----------
March 7 - Moms Club of Placentia - PLAYGROUP @ Our house -
March 9 - Today Ian did not want to take a nap and I joked - "Well do
you want to sleep in
Atticus's bed?" - Well he
got in his cat bed and put his toys in the bed - Check out the picture.
Gina and I went 80's dancing in Hollywood!!! We had such a great time!!!
I wish we could go every week!
March 10 - Had lunch with Aunt Angie at the Renaissance Cafe. I went to
Bunco that night!
Mach 11 - Princess Audrey Isabella Dickinson was born. -
Went to MOPS in the morning -Usually Ian is just plain miserable there.
Poor little guy!! But, when I went to get him early - 10am he was just
fine! Ian is such a handful that it takes one special MOPS helper for
one Ian! He really likes this one very special lady. The other kids in
there do not get that special attention. Too bad we had to leave so
early - Went up to Pasadena to visit the Wongs. The boys played really
well together. Andrew 2 (11/00) & Brian 2 months old (1/03) - I used to
work with Amy at Avery, I have not "GONE TO WORK" since March 15th 2001
- Over TWO years now! Crazy! Time just flies by.
March 12 - My dear friend Jena's Birthday. We had lunch at the Gypsy Den
in Costa Mesa with Jena (the Birthday girl), her boys - Grantland
(almost 8), Liam (3) and Susan. Then we headed down to San Diego for a
visit.
March 13 - Went to visit my Nana and Papaw (my mom's parents in National
City). We had a nice little visit. They really enjoyed seeing Ian do all
of his little boy tricks! :) Little did we know it would be our last
time to see Nana, she passed away the following week. We are so very
thankful that we went down for one last visit. We went up to Pine Valley
and stayed with my Daddy.
March 16 - Mike took Ian to go get bagels. We were supposed to go to
Liam's b-day party - but the washing machine flooded and the garage was
all wet!!!! YUCKY!!! It also happened
last month! & Ian had another dizzy episode. It is so scary for him
and for us. This was the second time this had happened
- it also happened
a month ago on Feb 15.
March 17 - (Monday) We got in to the see doctor at 11am, our own doctor
even! We were so thankful, all three of us really love her. He seemed
just perfect to her. She gave us a referral to a specialist and help set
up a EEG (He had the EEG last week - it was hell as a parent) When my
parents said "it hurts me more then it hurts you" they were so right. It
is so hard to see your baby so scared.
March 18 - I had a little girls night out with Angie! :) We went to
dinner and then to the ballet.
March 19 - Playgroup was at our house. Later Gina came over and I helped
her take pictures of stuff she is going to sell on Ebay. War!! :(
March 20 - My wonderful Grandmother "Nana" Morna Miller passed away!
She was 82, my grandparents were married for over 61 years. She was
an amazing woman. She had a wonderful life. She had two Children, 3
grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was the most wonderful and
giving person I have ever known. She is definitely my role model. She
will be so missed. We drove down to SD that afternoon.
March 21 - Mike worked at his moms. Then went to the Laker game that
night.
March 22 - Mike took Ian to the park . Which is so great for me - I get
some time to get things done around the house. :) Ian and Mike also
have a great time together. :)
March 23 - the Academy Award!! We had a little Oscar Party. Liz, Angie
and Gina came over. We had cheese FONDUE and movie theater candy! We had
a nice evening - Even though DDL
(Daniel DAY-LEWIS - my favorite actor) did not win Best Actor :(
Michael even won first prize in Angie's Oscar contest!!!!! Angie was
all dressed up in support of "Chicago".
March 25 - Funeral for my Grandmother.
March 27 - Ian got his Easter photos taken at the JC Penney - they
turned out so darn cute!!! I wanted to get his picture taken with the
"live bunnies" - but with everything going on, I had missed that day.
Check out the difference from last years Easter photo! :) - He is so
darn cute!
March 28 - Ian had his THIRD dizzy episode tonight!!! - Thankfully he
has not had another one!
March 29 - Ian and Michael went to the park again. We had a great
dinner at the Spaghetti Factory. Ian loves to eat there, which also
means I love eating there because he actually eat his meal by himself.
and I actually get to eat my meal! Plus we go to the Fullerton Old
Spaghetti Factory which is right near the train station, Ian has a great
time watching the trains go by. I highly recommend the Factory. :)
March 30 - Went to the Santa Ana ZOO! Ian loved riding the train! - Mike
went to the Clipper game with Alan at night.
love
Autumn, Michael and Ian
