August was a really fun and busy month!!! I went out four nights in a ROW!!! (very unusual for a mom!) - Two concert, Bunco and my 10 year High School Reunion.  A total cool 80's party - a birthday party! I had my niece (Edie 7) up for almost a week and then my nephew (Sam 5).    Mike was gone for the last two weekends in August.  Needless to say we were not bored in the month of August.

Ian was really sick last week.  He has 10 teeth now - four of which were coming in last week.  He also had a ear infection and a temp of 103.8!!!!!! Poor baby!!!!

Here is what we did last month!!!

August 1, 2002 - Jena and the boys came over and played for a few hours!!!  Then we headed down to SD.  It took us 3 hours and 40 minutes to get there.  We took the 15 because of the 5 closure.  What a mess!!!!! - Mike played golf and on of his best game!!! 87!!!! Then he went out to dinner (Buca De Beppo).

August 2, 2002 - Went to visit my grandparents, my Aunt Elaine and two nieces were also there!!! Then we met up with my dad and went to a park.  My poor dad!  Ian can not stand to look of him!!!! It is very sad!  He just screams if he even looks his way.  Then we went to my moms and went swimming!!!! - My mom bought  him a little tea set and pizza set he just loved it.  He really understood how to "play" - - Mike went to the movies - he saw the Austin Powers 2.

August 3, 2002 - Met my Aunt Elaine for breakfast a the Hash House A Go Go!!!!! Yummy!! - We had to miss my Auntie's big 50th birthday party!!:(   Because we went  to a TOTALLY AWESOME 80's Party - Drove home and then went to Angie's world famous 80's party - Wait until you see Mike!!!!!!  Angie had over one million games!!!! (I am not exaggerating here) - and great drinks and amazing 80's prizes!!!  It was so much fun! - Mike's mom watched Ian.  He did really good with her. He really loves her.  they had a great time.....

August 4, 2002 - Went to the kids day in Brea!!! - Angie's mom is here from Iowa.  Then brought over In & Out and played with the boy! :0 He was acting so darn cute he was bowing! :) 

August 6, 2002 -  Ian was so tired -  Ian was so funny at Gymboree he hugged and kisses everyone there!  It was very cute!!! :)  He wore himself out and had a great
nap! - thanks god!! - I got a hair cut- what you couldn't tell???

August 7, 2002 - Playgroup - and shopped

August 8, 2002 - typed up July !!!!! Later we are going to Indian Buffet with the Mickel's!!! :)

Aug 9, 2002 - 16 month old!!!!! Drove down to SD and went over to the Longfellow's.  Then we went to diner with Joe, Kristy and Emma.  We went to "Soup Plantation"  It was so awesome.  Ian ate everything and sat in his highchair the whole time!  It was great and the best part  I ate!  That is right I ate my whole meal!  I think we will go there everyday! :)

August 10, 2002 -Mike played golf with his dad  Then we went to my 10 year high school reunion!!!  It was at the Barefoot Bar & Grill (YES! A Bar)  - I did go to MEHS you know!!!! What did you expect!  It was actually very fun.  It was so nice to see so many old friends.  My mom watched Ian - he did just fine.  He did not even miss me! :).  

Aug 11, 2002  - Met Danna and Rick at the Has House a Go Go for Breakfast  - the we went to visit Mike's dad and Grandmother.  then we drove home Then Angie and I went to LA to see Siouxsie. Met up with Gina and Louie.  There were about one million crazy's there!  It was fun!

Aug 12, 2002 - Playgroup 1pm - shopped a bit  - Went to Bunco.  I won again!!!!

Aug 13, 2002 -Mike played golf again -  My dad came up with Edie to watch Ian while we went to the concert. - Monique, Angie, Mike and I went to see Siouxsie in OC. (79-84)

Aug 14, 2002 - My niece Edie (7 1/2) will stay with us again - We shopped a bit during the day then we went to the Spaghetti Factory and then watched the trains at the Fullerton station.  It was a ton of FUN!! - Michael went to the Baseball Game!

Aug 15, 2002 - We met the Watson's and walked around Balboa Island. Went to lunch at the Haus Of Pizza in Costa Mesa - Yummmmmmmy! - We used to go there almost every week when we lived in Costa Mesa - When Michael got home we went out for Ice Cream

Aug 16, 2002 - Gymboree - Drove down to SD and had a great dinner with my mom.  My sister came over with her new boy friend! (Mark!) -

Aug 17, 2002 - Had breakfast with Sam, Tracey & Mark in La Mesa - then @ my moms house there was a party in SD for my nephew Luke 6! .  All of my family was there It is so awesome that my divorced parents get along so well. I am a lucky girl!

Aug 18, 2002 - On our way home from San Diego we went to visit some friends -  Gina, Ronnie, Hannah & Zacky Van Hyfte - then we saw Nate, Kelly and Jack Longfellow!

Aug 20, 2002 - Met Michael for lunch in Yorba Linda..

Aug 22, 2002 - My nephew Sam (5) came up and stayed a few days. Meet Tracey, Mark and Sam at Maggianos!!  Ian was a wreck!!!!!

Aug 23-25, 2002 - Mike went to Vegas to choose his picks for his Fantasy Football picks!!! He had a nice time - he had awful traffic o his way home.  He also played golf while he was in Vegas!! He had his best game EVER a 86!!!!!!

Aug 23, 2002 - Went to a great Park for the Mom's Club of Placentia Park Craft day! - Then we went to the Prehistoric Pet Store in Fountain Valley with the Watson's.  The boys had a great time feeding the animals. There were a ton of snakes, monitors and other crazy huge scary reptiles!!  - all of the boys had a great time.  Then we went over to the Watson's and played for awhile. We had some of Jena's awesome tacos! Yummmmmmmy! It was a great day!

Aug 24, 2002 - Went to the Spaghetti Factory with Angie, Gina  & Lou. - Ian was acting so so so so bad!  I could not figure it out  I wanted to wring his little neck - I took him to the bathroom to try and calm him down.  Guess what it was???  His shoes were to tight!!! As soon as I took them off he was fine!  Boy did I feel bad!  Thank god I figured that out before I killed him!!!! :)  Poor little baby - he just did not know how to tell me.  Then we watched the trains at the Fullerton station.  Then went to Toys R Us - Talk about exhausting!  Toys R Us with a 5 year old!!! :)

Aug 25, 2002 - Got Sam's picture taken at the Brea mall  -

Aug 27, 2002 - Took the two boys to the Park - Mom mom came up and took Sammy home  Mike went out for a work dinner

Aug 28, 2002 - Playgroup @ our house - then Denise Colby and here tow boys came over and played for a few hours  Mike played golf during the day .

Aug 30-Sept 2, 2002 - Mike went up to visit Jason for a 30th birthday surprise!  Nate and Joe were also there  They had a great weekend!!!

Aug 30, 2002 - Clean - Gymboree - Dinner with Angie, Liz and her friend Brett (it was his birthday and he had no idea???? - I am serious)  Bought Ian a cool car. I spent almost the WHOLE night trying to put it together.  There is a reason that their is a picture of a man putting it together on the instructions.  I was just not strong enough to put the top on.  the next morning I asked our neighbor to come over and help me out.  

Aug 31, 2002 - Gymboree - Shopped & eat dinner @  the Brea Mall with Angie.
