Mindy Weinstein

How we met: From Other Voices in 1988.  She was member #9. Mindy and I used to talk on the phone and or write letters to each other almost EVERYDAY (this was way before email!).  Mindy was the first person I knew who had actually met The Cure.  We also shared the same love for rare Cure things, we used to send each other b/w xeroxed copies of rare pictures and magazines. Mindy won the contest in Star Hits to win Robert's lip prints. We first met in person in 1990, she flew out to see me, we had a great time we went to a club in San Diego and went to Disneyland with a bunch of other Cure friends (Catherine, Gina and Layna).  We were so excited to finally met each other.  Mindy & Erika went to England in November 1990 and just ran into the Cure on the street and went outside of the recording studio and went to dinner with the band.  :)   Mindy also lived in California 1994-1998 on and off.  I also went to visit her in North Carolina a few times.

Mindy was also a member of my bridal party. We still have a lot in common. We both have little boys, are both way toooooo addicted to Ebay and  LOVE taking photos. I am so thankful for Other Voices Fanzine - thank you Ruth and THE CURE (Esp Sweet Simon).
