How We Met. . .  
I met Angie Mickel back in October, ‘97.  We were both outside of the record signing at Virgin Records in Hollywood.  We met her through her boyfriend (Craig Hogan) at the time that I had known from the Swing Tour back in ‘96.  Well, we were instant friends, and I knew we would have a lifelong friendship the first night I met her.   We talked and emailed each other almost everyday while she was still living in AZ.  She came out to LA for the first Cure Convention in December, ‘97. Then, in January ’98, she came to our wedding in San Diego.  In 2000, I convinced her to move out to California (it would be easier to follow the Cure tour in CA, AZ is too hot, I like to party and such) …. my master plan worked! :) - I have gotten 3 Cure friends to move close to me now! :) :) :)

She won the, “What’s Your Poison?” Cure contest on www.thecure.com (back in Dec ’98) correctly guessing preferred on-stage drink of each band member (check out her prizes below)!  We also went to six west coast Dream Tour 2000 Cure shows together and met up at the Hamburg (the best cure show we have ever seen) and 2 Berlin shows in Germany in November, ‘02.  + We just saw the Cure in September 2003 all together front row in the pit! :)  She is also a huge Cure collector and I have to say has the best Cure button collection in the world!! She was so disappointed at first when she found out I was going to have a baby.  She thought she would never see us again.  Little did she know that she would fall madly in love with my son!  Now I see here more then I did before the boy!  Just don't get her talking about him… because she keeps talking and talking… like he is her own boy! :)  She lives very close now and we see her a few times a week. :) She bought Ian his first Cure shirt. She is helping teach him Spanish and French. She is a wonderful auntie to my boy.  We love to go to movies, play games, go to tea, go 80's dancing (!), Oscar Parties, Fondue Parties.  She throws the BEST parties. :)

I am so thankful that I have met her.  We met via the CURE but they are only a very small part of our very special friendship.  I am a very lucky girl.
