~ GINA G. ~

 HOW WE MET - Other Voices Cure fanzine 1988. We used to send each other Cure pictures, color Xerox's of great Cure photos.  In the summer of 1989, I went up to meet another Other Voices pen pal (Shay),  I had no idea Gina was going to be there.  Thank God she was because the other pen pal did not turn out to be so great (I was actually scared and ready to go home)! 

 Well, we quickly became lifelong friends.  We have visited each other a million times over the years.  And, although we have lived close together and far apart, we have always remained great friends. In 1992 we drove out to AZ and then to all of the California Cure shows.  I met the Cure for the first time with her in June of 1992.  We had a such great time...so many wonderful memories. During the Dream Tour, Gina & Kris won a contest on the radio in Northern CA to meet The Cure before the show and have TEA with them!  What a perfect dream!

She was in my wedding party in 1998.  Gina and I have so much in common outside of The Cure. That is how we met, but that is definitely not why we have remained great friends for all of these years. Gina and I still have so much in common.  She has great taste! In almost everything!  We both love the same art, clothes, pictures, we love to go to Afternoon Tea together, and she is a wonderful auntie to my child.  We have lots of fun parties, love to go out 80's dancing in Hollywood, we love fondue parties and afternoon tea! :) 

She moved away in 2005 and I am so very lonely without her.  : ( But she is so much happier with her family and new life and that makes me happy.  I love her so much.

I am so thankful to The CURE for introducing me to her!  She is such a big part of my life. I love her so very much.  I look forward to a million more years of friendship.
